What to confirm in a business website plan
A starting price is useful only when you understand the scope. Use these questions to compare proposals and agree what your website will deliver.
Pages and content
List the pages, the purpose of each page and the person responsible for supplying or approving its content. Confirm whether copywriting, photography, revisions or additional pages are included.
Enquiries and integrations
Decide whether visitors should call, email, use WhatsApp or complete a form. If a form or CRM connection is included, agree how submission delivery and source tracking will be tested.
Domain, hosting and ownership
Ask who holds the domain and hosting accounts, what access you receive, how backups work and what happens if you move providers. Do not assume every item is included in a starting price.
Upkeep and renewal
Confirm the edit allowance, support process, maintenance responsibilities, renewal price and treatment of work outside the agreed scope. Put those terms in the proposal.
